A web-based literary magazine, Portmanteau was conceived as a podcast featuring classic and contemporary works of short fiction read by their authors. The website was designed as the primary delivery method and promeniently incorporated works by a featured visual artist with each issue.
The large suitcase composed of several compartments known as a portmanteau was popular during the Victorian era. The well-traveled and worn design created a unique mix of classic and contemporary which reinforced the voice-over style of the podcast.
Unfortunately the founder of Portmanteau ultimately decided not to launch the website nor podcast.
